I had a similar problem,tried for days to find a fix no real help from TB.After going through a mass of comments finally found the problem solved. At the request of Microsoft I had set up 2stage Verification of my Hotmail Account,this verification stopped my password from being accepted.If you go to Google 2-step verification they will issue with a 16 digit password that you only use once. This is why it helps to give details like who the provider is and not just says it's broken and does not work. The gmail issue is well documented and gmail gives good directions on how to use their service.
