Ever time I log on to Firefox, I get the error message "TypeError:netscape.security.PriilegeManager is undefined. I want to know how to get rid of this message. When I click off the message, Firefox works okay

That error is likely caused by an old extension that is not compatible with the current Firefox releases.

Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem.

  • Switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance
  • Do NOT click the Reset button on the Safe Mode start window
