when I try to open an excel attachment, it will not open and states that "excel has stopped working."
When I try to open an excel attachment,. I get the response shown in the attachments. If I have a word document (doc or docx) attachment, it works fine. I don't know what to do.

This may be a Windows problem
Type about:preferences#applications<enter> in the address bar. What is listed for excel?
Check excel for updates.
It shows excel as the application.
Download excel Full Installer Uninstall excel from your computer After, reboot the computer. Then run the full installer.
