recieving emails in HTML format
I would like to know if it is possible to receive and read emails in their original HTML format? I get many emails in which I can see nothing at all. I have to try reading them in the View Source screen to see any text at all. Then I have to find links, copy and paste them into Firefox to respond.
If I use the CTRL button to select the problem email and another random email within my Inbox, I can sometimes read part of the message. Otherwise I have no idea what's in the email. No links work. I'm all for safety, but these are important emails and it's becoming very annoying not to be able to read them.
I have all accounts set to SEND in HTML but I can find no way to receive/read them in anything but TEXT ONLY - when I can read them.
Help anyone?

And in today's emails, no embedded images appear!
As it turns out a reboot or two later all returned to normal ... except that I lost that whole list of emails that had at first appeared only in dense HTML code. Some of those were important.
I just hope this never happens again!

OMG, thank you so much. I had a feeling there was a setting option somewhere but I couldn't find it. Thanks so much for the help!
No help here. My emails were all perfectly readable yesterday. Today, for all emails received before today many are completely blank and the rest are showing all the HTML code. I changed the View options to every choice, but nothing makes a difference.
Was there a bad Thunderbird update overnight?
Today's incoming emails seem fine, but any from yesterday and before are unusable.
