The page isn't redirecting properly

Firefox has detected that the server is redirecting the request for this address in a way that will never complete.

This problem can sometimes be caused by disabling or refusing to accept cookies.

I can get to my.yahoo.com page without problems using Chrome

Any suggestions?

Clear the Cache and remove the Cookies from websites that cause problems.

"Clear the Cache":

  • Firefox/Tools > Options > Advanced > Network > Cached Web Content: "Clear Now"

"Remove the Cookies" from websites that cause problems.

  • Firefox/Tools > Options > Privacy > "Use custom settings for history" > Cookies: "Show Cookies"

Firefox uses the "chrome://" protocol to access its own internal files and also access files from extensions (no relation with Google Chrome).

I have the same problem.

It would be helpful if there were a detailed fix.

Some responses I found say remove the cookies. In Yahoo there are cookies for every application(mail, weather, etc.). Yahoo has no answer. I have FireFox 44.0.2. Looking into the page info for www.yahoo.com it references chrome. I don't have chrome installed. Does Mozilla have Chrome imbedded?

To further on what was said as the word chrome has existed in this browser called Firefox (third name) for several years before the Google Chrome browser was even first released.

You may have to repeat this and remove the Yahoo cookies more than once and reload the page. In case third-party cookies are involved, you may have to clear cookies from other domains as well.
