do i need IE 11 when I am on windows 7
I have windows 7 and use firefox only. I have internet explorer 11 on my Dell desktop, can I uninstall it , is it safe to do so?

IE is a part of Windows. In fact, the Windows Update program uses IE to run. Do Not remove it.
Thank you. my sister in law did uninstall hers as she thought it was slowing her computer down, however it appears you can download IE 11 again from microsoft.com so will advise her to do so.

I understand you can Hide the IE 11, is it okay to do this?

There is no real reason to 'hide' IE. But if you need to, just remove the shortcuts to the program.
