unable to attach files to emails using optonline server
When I try to attach a file to an email in won't attach when using firefox browser, I'm able to attach files if I use another browser such as Internet Explorer. I can also attach a file if I use another email account. This only happens when using firefox and optonline email together. Had contacted optonline and they said the problem was with firefox browser.

Hi Robert, several users reported this problem with Optimum webmail recently, but I don't think a solution or workaround has been found because support volunteers don't have much information about or access to their email page.
- I cannot attach photos to an email any longer. I used to do it for years but cannot now?I use optimum email - unsolved
- Unable to attach documents or photos to Optimum Online email messages - unsolved
- cannot attach to email - unsolved
- I am not able to add attachments to my Optimum webmail though I can add attachements to Yahoo mail - unsolved
You could file a bug report to get it into the tracking system if you want to assist the developers in looking into it:
https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/enter_bug.cgi
One critical fact is, when was the last time it worked normally, for example, when you were using Firefox 60.0.2?
Someone with a fast connection, a lot of patience for repetition, and 30-60 minutes to spare could run a "regression" test on the site. This is a process of opening the site in different builds of Firefox to find the "last good" and "first bad" versions to nail down exactly what set of changes (usually there are one to three per day) caused the issue. If you're interested:
https://mozilla.github.io/mozregression/quickstart.html
But possibly you have other plans for the weekend. ;-)
(I think ultimately someone needs to do it if Optimum isn't going to tell Mozilla what they know about the problem.)

Went on another laptop to check to see if i could attach a file in optonline with fire fox browser and was able to. When I went to shut down it said I had a windows update available and I updated after which I was unable to attach a file in my email. The update was KB4023057 , so I went into uninstall updates and was unable to find the update to uninstall it.
That update is a little mysterious... seems to come back at various times.
Google search for 4023057 in article titles on www.askwoody.com
After waiting a few weeks I checked today and i was able to attach a file in optonline email. I guess someone fixed the problem. Maybe firefox or optonline, either way everything is fine now.
