How do I clear the cache from ONE specific website?

I'm on Windows 7, using Firefox 61.0.2. I want to clear the cache and any other information that might be stored on ONE website that is refusing to play videos for me. I've tried many other solutions, none of which work. It's the Shutterfly website, by the way. Family videos just suddenly stopped playing for me, after years of working just fine. I've cleared the cache from individual websites in the past, but it's been a while, and now I can't find any instructions that match the CURRENT options on FF 61.0.2. Why isn't this just a basic kind of instruction for people? I do NOT want to globally clear my cache and history! And yes, I've made sure that I'm using the latest version of Flash. Thank you, I hope someone can help!

Remove History For One Site

Open the History Manager <Control><Shift> H. In the search bar, enter the name of the site. Right-click on one of the listings and select Forget About This Site. This should remove all information, including any passwords / settings.

Note: If you want, you can clear the whole cache. Anything Firefox needs it will download again.

Having more than one version of a program may cause issues. You must remove the older programs. Then get the current full installer.

Note: Windows users should download the active_x for Internet Explorer. and the plugin for Plugin-based browsers (like Firefox).

Note: Windows 8 and Windows 10 have built-in flash players and Adobe will cause a conflict. Install the plugin only. Not the active_x.

That is not possible unfortunately. You can only clear the complete cache and not only a specific domain. Other items can be cleared selectively, but this isn't possible for all the caches.

Is that a new development? Because I was able to do it in the past! I found instructions on how to do just that.

Thank you, I did notice this, but I didn't know what to do about it. Thanks! I will follow your instructions and maybe that will solve my actual problem, which is that the videos don't play. I'll let you know if it works.

You can check the about:cache page via the location/address bar to see what happens to the caches when you use "Forget About This Site". That should show that the entire cache is cleared in current and older Firefox versions. You may have to refresh the about:cache page via F5.

Thank you, I will try uninstalling and reinstalling Flash before I do this.

Well, that didn't work. I'll try clearing the History for that site.

You can remove all data stored in Firefox from a specific domain via "Forget About This Site" in the right-click context menu of an history entry ("History -> Show All History" or "View -> Sidebar -> History"). Like I wrote, you can't clear the cache that way or via another way for just one site because Firefox can't do this, the cache is an exception and is always completely removed if you use "Forget About This Site".

Nothing. Videos on Shutterfly will still not run. I cleared the History, and I did everything else recommended. I guess this issue is no longer about clearing the cache from one website. It's now about why videos won't play on Shutterfly. I don't know if that's an issue for this forum, because they also don't play on Internet Explorer! And it's only for that one site! I see videos everywhere else just fine. Thanks for attempting to help, folks!!! I AM glad that I am now running just one version of Flash. I'm sure that's a good thing.

Can you post a link to a publicly accessible page (i.e. no authentication or signing on required)?

You can check the Web Console to see if there is more detail available about what is wrong.
