v67 added a home screen Widget but it's obscenely white, is there a way to make it black/dark?

The recent update for Firefox for Android, v67 added a very nice Firefox Search Widget for the homescreen but it's glaringly white and very bright at night time (I use dark themes and wallpapers exclusively) so it's quite annoying compared to the stock Google Chrome search widget which is available with a dark search bar via Nova Launcher.

I have attached an image with comparison - the white bar is just too much and I know it's possible for having two separate widgets to choose from, one being default white and the other a dark/black version.

Thank you for your time!

There is not a way to change the widget color currently.

Do you know the correct forum for me to make a feature request/suggestion? I searched but this forums system seems pretty convoluted.

Thank you for your time, it's appreciated.

Hi

Further to kbrosnan's comments, please appreciate that this is unlikely to change in the near term, but should you wish to file a feature request you can at https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/home.
