can't remove extension
I would like to remove Avira Browser Safety but none of the directions at https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/disable-or-remove-add-ons seemed to help as there is nothing in my extensions folder in my profile.

Extensions that do not have a "Remove" button are installed globally by other software. You need to remove such extensions via the Options/Preferences of this software or uninstall this software. You can find the installation path of an extension in the extensions.json file in the Firefox profile folder in the "path" key.
You can use the button on the "Help -> Troubleshooting Information" (about:support) page to go to the current Firefox profile folder or use the about:profiles page.
