Every single day I have to check off the box "Ask to save logins and passwords for websites", why doesnt firefox remember this setting?
This has been going on for 2 different computers for over a year and its very frustrating. Every day when I start up my computer the very first thing I have to do when I open firefox browser is go to settings and check the box for "Ask to save logins and passwords for websites". Why doesnt Firefox remember this choice and stay checked? I've looked at my Dads computer and several friends computers who dont have this issue, and I have no idea what is different about their settings versus mine but they dont have to do this every single day. They checked the box to remember passwords ONCE and it stays checked no matter how many times they restart the computer. It's annoying as hell and I'm hoping there is a solution to make Firefox permanently remember my choice to remember passwords so I can cut out this annoying step every day! I've attached a screen shot so you can see what setting I mean. (I'm running Windows 10 64bit, one machine is a Dell XPS the other is a brand new iBuyPower system) Thank you!!

I uninstalled the password manager, and left in the rest of the program in, and surprisingly it actually worked! I dont know why on my Dads system, he also does not use the password manager, but he is not experiencing this issue. Really odd. Thank you !

Hello TW,
Stab in the dark, but could it be that the Trend Micro Password Manager is installed on your system ?
If so : that could be causing this problem, and (unless you're using this software) you could remove it from Windows Control Panel.
My Dad has the identical Trend Micro software installed on his computer. Neither of us have the password manager in use. I think its just sitting dormant since I never set it up. We use it for virus protection only.

Would you please remove it ?
All you need to be safe is Windows built-in Defender, and a safe browser (Firefox, of course).

I'm so glad it worked - well done !
Why your Dad doesn't have the same problem; I don't know, but we've seen this problem, caused by Trend Micro, reported many time before.
But now you don't have to check that box anymore - Yay !

I noticed that you marked your own post as Chosen Solution instead of mine; if you want to you can rectify it by clicking on the "Undo" button and then mark my post.
But it's not all that important; people with the same problem will see how to solve it when they go over this thread.
I'm SO thankful! This has been so annoying every day for over a year! My Dad and I share a Trend Micro subscription, we split it every year, he's never had this issue and I have had it for over a year. I'll make sure next year when we renew to uninstall the password manager! I thought since I never set it up that it was not doing anything. Oddly it only affects Firefox, it doesnt do this to Chrome.
