Hi Mary, I think this is the same issue you posted in recent days?
Instagram definitely makes it difficult to download their content. Regarding the Media Helper extension, I do see some reports of problems over the past week here:

An updated version was posted on Wednesday. Can you confirm you have the latest version? You can go the Add-ons page and click the extension listing to open the Details panel and check the version, or use the gear button to Check for Updates.
Probably you've been to the Add-ons page a few times, but just in case:
- Ctrl+Shift+a (Mac: Command+Shift+a)
- "3-bar" menu button (or Tools menu) > Add-ons
- type or paste about:addons in the address bar and press Enter/Return
In the left column of the Add-ons page, click Extensions. On the right side, find the "Manage Your Extensions" heading.
If there is at least one extension before the next heading -- "Recommended Extensions" -- please continue:
Then scan down the list for Media Helper.
Hopefully you can get that one working and don't need to find a new one.
This one has had 3 updates just today and the author is working on it, so hopefully it will start working soon:

It's interesting that the video URLs are on Facebook (fbcdn.net). If you right-click one of the entries on the menu and Copy Download Link, then paste it in the address bar, can Firefox retrieve the file, or is there any error message displayed?
tried that and will not work
but what is odd is all these stories and video work in Chrome and edge just not Firefox I have to go to those styes if i want to copy to desktop
Is there an error message displayed in Firefox?
just says failed when i try to send to desktop and the download arrow does not tur blue and download it
Sorry to get nerdy here: could you test again, but first open the Browser Console popup window. Either:
- "3-bar" menu button > Web Developer > Browser Console
- (menu bar) Tools > Web Developer > Browser Console
- (Windows) Ctrl+Shift+j
Click the trash can icon at the upper left to clear the window, then switch back over to your main window and try the fbcdn.net download again.
Then switch back over to the console window. Did Firefox log any errors related to the failed download?
