New Firefox version won't load some websites unless I restart my computer

Since installing the latest versio of Firefox for Windows 10 I can't open some websites (including annoyingly my own video podcast) unless I restart my computer. Other websites load perfectly. Those that don't load show the correct tab with the oscillating dot but a connection with the server is never established. If I then restart the computer (leaving the frozen tab in place) the website immediately loads. This was never a problem with the old version of Firefox. The new version seems to freeze out the relevant server until a restart is done. Is there any way I can enter the URLs of the affected sites in Firefox to ensure they can be accessed at all times?
