IMAP.Googlemail.com 993 SSL/TLS OAuth2

gmail.com fails in Thunderbird with message:-

Enter your password for .. @gmail.com on smtp.googlemail.com:

I have tried deleting passwords from tools etc and restarting Thunderbird.

Why is it requesting SMPT password?

Change the server name in account settings to use gmail instead of googlemail. oAuth does not play nicely with the old googlemail server name.
