Email will not load to Thunderbird gives error every time
I can not get thunderbird to bring over email for 6 days now I get the following error everytime. (Sending of password for user .........................@verizon.net did not succeed. Mail server pop.verizon.net responded: [SYS/TEMP] Server error - Please try again later.) I have tried creating a new password on the server account and restarting thunderbird with the new password . Did not help. Any Suggestions?

Verizon is administered by AOL and an app password must be created at AOL.
Thank you, Took me a bit to figure how to use the info but evidently I got it right and it is working now. Thank you again!!
I have tried this 3 times this morning to no avail.
My error message says RETR command did not succeed. Error retrieving message.Mail server pop.aol.com reported [SYS/TEMP] Server error.
