Deleting Multiple Bookmark folders at one time
I imported my bookmarks from chrome and there are thousands of bookmark folders. I wish to delete multiple folders at one time. All the answers I have found online do not seem to work. Is there a way in managing bookmarks to select and delete multiple "FOLDERS" at one time? TIA.

You can do this in the library. To go there, select "Manage Bookmarks" from the Bookmarks menu. Or press Ctrl+Shift+O.
Hold the Shift or Ctrl keys to select multiple bookmarks/folders in the sidebar (Ctrl+B) or Library (Ctrl+Shift+O). To select a bookmark in the sidebar without opening it, click on the blank area to the left of the text.
When I try to delete the repeated bookmarks, even only 1 at a time it freezes up and does not delete anything. Any idea why that could be? I have thousands of the same bookmark and can't get rid of them.
Another thing to try is to open one of the repeat bookmarks in the browser, then while on the site press Ctrl+B to open the 'Edit Bookmark' dialogue. Then select the 'Remove X bookmarks' button at the bottom.
