Firefox not showing some videos. Have to switch to Chrome as many people do to watch video
For some time now Firefox will not show some videos. Like many other users of Firefox I have to begrudgingly switch to Chrome to see the video. I have tried most of the advise on the internet and reinstalled Firefox but the problem continues. This never use to happen. All videos played. It has only started in last few months. I see many other people have same problem with Firefox. It would be nice if Firefox was to change it back to working on all videos again. Thank you.

Can you provide any example of these videos? Thanks.
There are indeed a lot of similar reports but I'm yet to be effected. In fact in the past I was a Chrome user and often had to switch to Firefox to watch videos.
As well as examples of videos that won't play it would also be useful to know what operating system you are on as some things may only effect Windows but not Linux or Macs and vice versa. Anti-virus software could also be making a difference.
A lot of video sites won't work with an ad blocker running and Firefox's increasing paranoia about tracking behaves in a similar enough way to make some sites think you are running one even if you aren't.

I undated my computer 5 years ago and have used Malware Fighter &Advance System Care Pro for over 10 years.
I have used Firefox ever since it came out and have not had a problem with it until a few months ago.
Any help you can give to fix Firefox is appreciated.
Hope I have answered all your questions adequately.
Thank you

Worked fine for me. I'm on Linux though with nothing else potentially interfering. Each individual part of your system may well be fine but it's the combination of them that could be messing things up.
Have you tried to watch it in Troubleshoot Mode? To do that press Alt-H and choose it from the drop-down menu that appears. If it plays OK in that it's most likely an extension you use or one of your personal settings that is causing the problem.
