My badge icon for Thunderbird in windows 11 doesn't clear out after I've read inbox, only after I click the 'all mail' heading, even if all the messages in 'all mail' have been read already. How can I get the badge icon to go away after I read my inbox emails like it used to without having to click 'all mail' to make it disappear - - I still want to use it for inbox?

By 'Badge Icon', do you mean the icon on the taskbar with the red circle that tells you how many emails are 'unread'?

Okay. Yes, I get that too. Mine's tied up with a folder I made in the Offline Folders that I made a filter for. The email comes in and gets sorted into that one particular folder. I access the email and clear it but the *root* POP email account (not offline folder) remains coloured blue as if it has an unread email in while the 'badge' on the taskbar has '1' or whatever.

Only way to clear it is to click on the Blue 'root', then on another folder within the root. Then it blacks out and the red number goes.

There has been at least one other thread on this but no solution was found. I shall watch with interest...
