I have multiple tabs open in Firefox. When I allow a pop up window to open, when I close that pop up window, Firefox wants to close all tabs and quit. This is a new behavior and I'm not sure why.

Any help or suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

I had the same problem. I found out that this is caused by "Microsoft's HTML5 extension for WMP player plug-in". Disable this addon and it should be fixed

Generally, the most similar bugs are caused by problematic addons, therefore in such cases you can follow the steps described in Troubleshooting extensions and themes
