Everytime I open Firefox I get a second tab opening Free software from Downloads.com and the saying "You have chosen to open setup_av_free.exe. How do i stop it?
Everytime I open Firefox I get a second tab opening saying "Free software from Downloads.com" and then a box says "You have chosen to open setup_av_free.exe."

Do you have that page set as one of your Firefox Homepages??

My home page is set to http://www.google.co.uk/firefox|http://download.cnet.com/3001-2239_4-10019223.html?spi=63a6e4efa756f73ff9b9d3ce6b3f047a&part=dl-85737
and therefore I've found the problem! Can't believe that I didn't spot that.
