Why doesn't my upgraded FF sport the look shown in your help screenshots?
OK, I upgraded my FF to the latest version 5.0. Right after successfully updating when FF restarted, I was shown pictures of a Firefox which is nothing like what I have. Why? Is it just because I use Windows XP instead of Vista/7? Why can't the shiny new & improved FF 5.0 sport the same sleek look on my Win XP? Right out of the box? I suppose there is some arcane procedure to get that look, but why not make it default? Why should Firefox users who choose to remain on Windows XP have to make do with the dowdy look instead of the snazzy one?
Microsoft discriminating between users of Windows XP and Vista/7 is understandable because they're out & out commercial - the so-called 'evil-empire'. Why is Mozilla making that same discrimination?

To get you started - right click on toolbar space and uncheck Menu Bar. This will display your orange Firefox button. You can toggle from one to the other.

But FF developers should, IMHO, either *explicitly* make it clear in those fancy-schmancy post-update pages that this is probably what the upgrader may see; or use the simple expedient of detecting the upgrader's OS and show *only* that page.
This will save the upgrading FF proletariat the roller-coaster ride of raising expectations and then dashing them.

Don't tell anyone but I happen to agree with you. There must, I presume, have been a reason why the orange Firefox button was not shown by default with XP but I've yet to hear it. It was with Vista and 7.
I think you realize this but I'm just a volunteer; a user like yourself.
