at start-up or hitting "home" firefox is opening 2 "Firefox start pages" at a time how do I fix this so it only opens 1 at a time?
when Firefox loads it opens 2 home pages. Also if I use the "Home" button it also then opens 2 home pages. What can I do to fix this?

Reset your homepage so there is only one homepage instead of two?
I actually had to completely "uninstall" Firefox & re-install it to fix the problem, but thanks for the info, it set me in the right direction.
