on my computer, windows xp home, firefox icon does not appear in control panel, therefore i cannot remove it. i want to remove firefox how do i remove it?

I just want to remove firefox but cannot do so as the icon does not appear in control panel

Open Control panel and then Add or Remove Programs , this is the place you can find it.

It should be listed as "Mozilla Firefox"
