I have the latest version of Firefox & Gmail. Today I lost an email when just scrolling over it. How do I get it back. xxxx@gmail.com

I am using Email, in my other Email account; xxxx@gmail.com

I have quite a few Emails in my inbox. Today while scrolling over an Email I had previously read, I noticed that it suddenly disappeared. How do I get this Email back, and more importantly, how do I prevent this from happening again.

I was the one that posted the comment about loosing an Email. I have read the comments as to the nature of the fix, and a slow scroll rate was not present. I may have accidentally tapped the mouse as it was being moved down over my Email inbox list of Emails. This particular one I had previously opened. I am using an Imac computer (about 4 years old), with a wireless mouse.
