The Yahoo! Toolbar is an add-on. Just take a look at the Knowledge Base article Disable or remove Add-ons for steps on removing it.

I right clicked on the mozilla icon at the top of the page up under the firefox name and clicked the yahoo toolbar to off and blessing of blessings. It went away, yay! I have had so much trouble with this over and over again. Never could figure out how to get rid of it. Sure would like to find a way to get it off my computer altogether.
