Firefox will not automatically go to a URL link when link is clicked on.
Whrn goin to a link in a URL, a line appears across the top of screen saying "Firefrox prevented automatically jumping to a link" There is an "allow" button, but after clicking it, I go back to the originalo URL but WITHOUT my log in information. It is a viscious circle.

The setting in "Tools > Options > Advanced > General" is meant as an accessibility feature, as you can see by the label of that section, so that people with disabilities or people who use screen readers do not get confused and is not meant as a safety protection to stop redirecting.
