How do I void the scam phone charge from Firefox on download of Mozilla?
On my new PC, I tried to download Firefox. What looked like official site for Mozilla asked for my mobile number. When I entered it, it seemed to be a authorization for a $10 per month charge on my mobile. This is absolute scam and ripoff. If the program is free, then it is free, not $10 per month.
How do I void any charge on my mobile for now and for ever?

Last month we had a question about a site asking for a mobile number. If you check your browser history, can you figure out the URL? Authorized downloads do not require a phone number.
As for what to do next, if you believe you might be charged, contact your mobile carrier to block it or learn your options, and you can report the scam to the FBI via the Internet Crime Complaint Center at http://www.ic3.gov/.
Always make sure that you download Firefox from the official Mozilla servers at mozilla.org and use a secure https connection.
All servers have DV (domain validated) SSL certificate and should the domain with a blueish background on the location bar.
See Site Identity Button:
The only place you want to download Firefox from is www.getfirefox.com. Mozilla will never ask for your cell phone or any other information to install Firefox. I would contact your mobile phone company to dispute the charges.
Also, uninstall the potentially fake Firefox and run virus scans on your PC. Download and Install MalwareBytes Anti-Malware, run a full Scan. http://www.malwarebytes.org/.
@fredbloggs, What was the website you were trying to download the Firefox from?
