I tried to up grade to firefox 13 and beta 14 and only get error message, only going back to 10.2 works
I had been using with problems Firefox 12. and upgraded to 13.0. Error Message is
"Error platform version 13.0 is not compatible with minVersion> 13 message appears." (The same with beta 14)
Neither 12, 13 or 14 will work only deleting everything and installing 10.2 lets me use Firefox. Uninstalling 12, 13 or 14 and reinstalling does not work, error is always present and firefox does not come up.

Do a clean (re)install and delete the Firefox program folder (C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\).
Download a fresh Firefox copy and save the file to the desktop.
- Firefox 13.0.x: http://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/all.html
Uninstall your current Firefox version, if possible.
- Do NOT remove personal data when you uninstall your current Firefox version, because all profile folders will be removed and you will also lose your personal data like bookmarks and passwords from profiles of other Firefox versions.
Remove the Firefox program folder before installing that newly downloaded copy of the Firefox installer.
- It is important to delete the Firefox program folder to remove all the files and make sure that there are no problems with files that were leftover after uninstalling.

Your bookmarks and other profile data are stored elsewhere in the Firefox Profile Folder and won't be affected by a reinstall, but make sure that you do not select to remove personal data if you uninstall Firefox.

Hi,
Please try installing the latest Firefox and open it in a new profile. If the new profile is okay, you can then Reset Firefox on the old (previous) profile via Help (Alt + H) > Troubleshooting Information.
If you use ZoneAlarm Extreme Security then disable Virtualization and reinstall Firefox. Other security software may have similar features to prevent Firefox from updating files properly.

In answer to suggestions, Firefox 12 was always working correctly, it was only after installing 13 that I started having problems. I am back using 10.2 because I am afraid to try anything I have seen in the suggestions so far, and I don't know where to go to reset firefox. Also, I have deleted every edition of firefox and reinstalled, I even deleted all my personal information, so I am not sure a reset is even the answer. I am not using Zone Alarm, using Avast. Only 10.2 works without issue.

Cor-el I did a clean when I tested uninstall and reinstall I took off everything about firefox 12 including personal data, the program and information in any location on the computer including the registry. I then reinstalled 12 and had the same problem. I tried to uninstall and install 13 beta. After I removed everything (12 & 13) I got firefox 10.2 to work and that is what I am using. Only after I got that version to work did I readd personal data etc. I have bookmarks, contacts, and firefox settings all saved in separate files on dropbox so it was never a problem to remove everyting.
Firefox solved the problem by itself, I did nothing. I noticed that I had a notice that I had the latest firefox. Checking I found version 13 installed. Thanks to everyone who offered suggestions.
