How to stop firefox from loading the index of my home folder on startup
when starting firefox I get page with an index of all files and folders in my home folder, including all hidden files.
it has at the top in a url bar " index of file:///home/user/"

thank you for steering me in the right direction while I did not have a trailing "." I did have something in the line that was causing the problem I use a command to play a sound file when opening my apps I had firefox %u $HOME play /home/user/sound/blah when I remove the $HOME but leave the play command and path it works fine
I kept thinking something was wrong with the firefox install thank you again
