This is my HTML5 mobile app.

there are couple of issues:

1. Scrolling is not smooth as other browsers (Chrome, Safari or IE10). on firefox, scrolling shutters. How do I make scrolling smooth as other browsers?

2. When you click on links, it shows gray background. How do I disable that?

What device are you testing on. Using a Nexus 4 scrolling is smooth to me. Are you creating your own scroll handlers?

Does removing

   .page-home .bd a{
       display:block;
       color:#555;
       padding:5px 15px
   }

in touch.css stop the highlight? That is the only place in your css that I see grey used.

I am not creating my own scroll handlers. I am using overflow: auto for scrolling. I have Nexus 4 and galaxy s3, and firefox scrolling shutters on both.

Also removing that CSS won't help at all. Color is for text color, and not background color. You can remove tap highlight color in webkit using

  • {
   -webkit-tap-highlight-color: rgba(255, 255, 255, 0);

}

We don't implement a Gecko version of that. I don't have any suggestion on a way to avoid it.

Could you file a bug and fix it?

It is really annoying that it gets highlighted when you scroll, and there is no option to change it.
