In the message that comes up, what is the explanation given for the security block? I assume it's not the one about needing to update Java. Could you either post the message or a screen shot of the message in a reply? ---- The latest update to Java introduced some stronger security restrictions, so that might explain it. You might have noticed in the past a little warning in the dialog where you approved the page's Java applet to run that it was unsigned or some other issue. Those unsigned applets now are completely blocked if you have set "High Security" in the Java Control Panel.
