How can I restore a pcv-bookmark file (mozbackup) from winxp to win7

I have made backup of bookmarks by mozbackup by windows xp and got the following file: Firefox 27.0.1(de) - 2014-02-19.pcv Today I changed to windows 7 and all program data haven been deleted due to the new installation. How can I restore the former bookmarks to the today newly installed firefox version. I did ot found a program which can open the pcv-file to import. I need your help. Thank you. regards adschoen

Mozbabckup PVC file is a normal ZIP archive, so you shouldn't have a problem to extract files from it.

You can restore a JSON backup in the Bookmarks Manager (Library).

  • Bookmarks > Show All Bookmarks > Import & Backup > Restore > Choose File
