If you are using favorites/favourites though a different toolbar button or web site or add-on, could you describe it in more detail? For example, something hosted by Yahoo or another service provider? Or a custom "speed dial" page?

no it only happens every so often. if mozilla are redirecting me to their web we want i will get rid of firefox

The only way I've been directed to that site is clicking near the big map on the built-in home page.

I suggest keeping notes of when it occurs to see whether you can spot a pattern.
