Error 404
Hi. After updating Firefox, I keep getting error messages with some sites. Sometimes it says '404 - Error', sometimes it opens up a Yahoo Search page saying 'DNS Solution Yahoo Error' and a list of strange sites it found, sometimes it's a Google page saying '404. That’s an error. The requested URL /gtm.js?id= was not found on this server. That’s all we know. ' I tried to uninstall Firefox and install it back, I tried with Firewall, I tried everything I came up with. Please help me! Thanks.

Click the Disable button on all your installed Extensions - restart Firefox.
See if that helps with that 404 issue.
Also, who is your Internet Service Provider? Sounds like your ISP may be doing DNS redirects to Yahoo. That ISP may have an Opt-Out feature available to stop sending you to Yahoo Search when there is an error in the URL and let a proper error message from Firefox appear.

You may have an unwanted extension that is modifying searchers. Try this: Disable ALL nonessential or unrecognized extensions on the Add-ons page from New Firefox Menu Button > Addons.
Does the error go away with all of the extensions disabled after you restart Firefox?
Hi. Thank you for your post. However, I can't disable the extensions as you suggest. Can you please be more specific? Thank you for your help.
Sorry, that hyperlink for New Firefox Menu Button didn't come out as guigs 2 intended.
is what she intended to show you. The 3-bar menu button, as I call it.
Thanks for intervening. I did try with that too. But, after clicking on the Add-ons, I see a new page I don't know how to work upon. Even the right-click doesn't help. Thanks!
