No cookies are deleted when I close Firefox. I already deleted all cookies manually, but the problem persists. Is this a bug introduced with some recent version of Firefox?

Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem.

  • Switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance
  • Do NOT click the Reset button on the Safe Mode start window

After some repeated tests with safe mode on and off, deleting cookies, switching cookies on and off, etc., somehow the problem is gone and it's back to normal now.

So Safe Mode somehow did the trick, but not at the first try and not without playing around with the privacy settings for some time.

Everything is normal now, so I'm going to close this, but I got the feeling I didn't "resolve" it, it just "went away". So if it's coming back, I'll reopen this issue.
