How do we setup our Thunderbird email account on a second pic in the home so both machines share same email streams?

We use Thunderbird for email exchange in our home on one pc and would like to have the ability to have another of of setup to send/receive mail that would be visible on both machines.

We are also considering changing one of the on from Windows to Mac, if it is possible to have the same email account on two machines would having on Windiws and one Mac complicate things?

Set up the account as IMAP on both machines. https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/imap-synchronization
