When I click the Firefox Icon on my desktop to initialize my Internet connect, my Home page is YAHOO, but instead, I get New Tab.

First Restore to default , in the preferences for home page.

Restart browser .

Go to preferences again, type in your yahoo page url, don't use the option "Use current page" . Now check your home page.
