Hi Team,

In our web application we are using favicon.ico from the JSP page. In case of Mozilla Firefox the favicon.ico is not displaying at the start application. Only on refresh the icon is coming up. Kindly suggest a solution.

HTML Syntax:

<link rel="shortcut icon" href="<%=contextName%>/images/favicon.ico" type="image/x-icon"> Firefox version: 42.0 Best Regrads, Gowthaman VT

Try placing the favicon.ico file in the root directory of the website - not in the /images/ folder.

Thanks for the response the-edmeister. I have tried it, but still the same issue exists.

You posted a link code (<%=contextName%>) that needs to be processed by the internet server that host this JSP file.

Did you check the code that Firefox gets?

You can check with the Live Http Headers extension whether Firefox makes a request for the favicon and what location are tried.
