Is there a way to emable Java 7 Update 80 in Firefox when running Windows XP SP3?
Currently in Firefox v43 on the Plugins page it has Java set to "Ask to activate" and cannot be set to Always Activate. I have been using it this way (with different versions of Java) for a very long time and have never once been asked to activate Java and I have been to a great many websites. I cannot update to Java 8 because it does not run on XP Sp3. Is Java actually disabled? My problem is that some web pages do not display properly. I have a MagicJack account and when I get into it it is supposed to display 6 or so tabs. It displays none of them. Am I way off base and might this be a Javascript problem. Help would be appreciated.

I am running XP Pro SP3.
Java and JavaScript are different languages. To avoid confusion, see:
Note that the System Delete list shows that you have a very old Shockwave Flash 11.9 r900 version
If you use extensions (3-bar button/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) that can interfere with loading content (e.g. Adblock Plus, NoScript, Flash Block, Ghostery) then make sure that such extensions do not interfere with loading content. There is security software that can interfere with loading content, so check that as well.
Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions (3-bar button/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem.
- Switch to the DEFAULT theme: 3-bar button/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance
- Do NOT click the "Refresh Firefox" button on the Safe Mode start window
