My son showed me free games on facebook.com and the games will not allow me to play unless I block the popups but I start college very soon and I do not want files to be blocked. I want my laptop to run really good so I can do my assignments.

Mozilla products are free. You do not have to pay to use them. Firefox only blocks some popups by default. But you can disable that in the Options > Content window. Uncheck the "Block pop-up windows" setting. But be careful, doing that may open you up to many advertisement popups.
