cadguy56 - how doI set the outgoing emails to appear 'normally (with a white background/balck text when the were created black background'white text)?
I use a 'high contrast windows' theme on my computer running Windows 7 Pro & IE 11. I use Thunderbird and like it very much, however when I send out emails to others they complain about being able to read the email as it is black background with yellow text. So the question is how do I create emails using a black background with white or yellow text and the recipient opens it in their email client as a white background with black text? Or that something that can be done at all?? I have added a 'DASHBOARD VIEW' image for your use.

You need to set it to display your messages as white on black. I guess you went to the Composition tools and changed the text colours.
Doing this via display settings will have the effect of showing incoming messages as white on black too.
10k messages in each of your Inboxes? Really? Ever tried filing?

The whole reason I use the black on white is because of EYE PROBLEMS!! Is there a filter that would change these settings? When I send a message to my gmail account it comes out white background with black text when I sent it out as black background and white text. Can you help me?
As far as filing goes, they are filed. Just accessable as my clients repeat about once every 15 years or so and act like they just stopped a conversation with my yesterday... I would like to know if there is an add on or a filter that would reverse my settings the way gmail does. When I send out my message with a black background and white text it reverses those colors.. Any useful ideas would be helpful. Thanks!
Under Tools/Options/Composition/General/HTML, set the text background to white and the text color to black, or Reset Defaults.
So I guess there is no software add on that does what gmail already does?? Is that what I am hearing??? Well I guess I can consider changing over to Google Mail completely and eliminate the hassels... IF anyone else has a software add on that will help with this there are probably several million other baby boomers that could make use of it. Just a thought!
