Most website should work these days with Unicode UTF-8 encoding. Firefox normally uses the encoding as send via the HTTP response headers.

What encoding is selected in your case and to what encoding do you need to change it?

select Auto disabele, muß immer wieder Unicode UTF-8 einschalten.
