Cannot see some emails in thunderbird client but visible in others

I'm experiencing some behaviour where I cannot see emails in my inbox, despite the smart filter saying that there are messages. Other clients including my web client sees them without issue.

I'm just trying to understand what is causing this. I've spent some time poking around without luck and can't seem to see them anywhere.

I've attached a picture from thunderbird, where I've kicked of a search for 'plans' and the filter shows it found 7 messages but only shows one. And then a picture of the same in roundcube web client, which shows 7 messages.

If it helps, all of the hidden these emails seem to be coming from the same organisation, but I'm not sure if this is just a coincidence or not.

Thanks!
