Add site to Top Sites - Android
My Top Sites home screen has maybe 8 sites on it. When I try adding a new one FF tells me I have to delete one first. How can I get around this obstacle?

Hi
There are sixteen spaces available for top sites in Firefox for Android. If those are filled you may wish to consider saving a site as a bookmark, in a collection or as a link from the Android home screen.
I definitely only have 8 spaces filled and it still refuses any more. I've looked through Settings and don't see anything. Only 16? The first time I struggled with only 8 I went over to Opera as default, with seemingly unlimited entries. Otherwise I prefer and MISS FIREFOX!

What happens when you swipe across from right to left on the top sites?
OK now I see another 8. But why swipe when there's plenty of room anyway?
Also, REMOVE doesn't work.
What happens when you select remove on top site?
They don't remove.
If I'm truly limited to 16, they won't remove to allow additions, and you can only suggest other solutions, but then I'll stay with Opera as default and only use Firefox for sites Opera renders poorly. This is coming from a fox devotee going all the way back through Netscape to Mosaic. Thanks for trying to help. I'd try the uninstall reinstall route but not if the 16 limit is baked into the speed dial.
Hi
If you long press on a top site, you should see a menu with options to open in a private tab, rename or remove. I have just tried it myself using the most recent copy of Firefox for Android and can remove top sites.
That's what I've done repeatedly to see that menu. Remove doesn't work. and yes my fox is up to date
Hi I also used to set up top sites and all that home screen things but I realised that typing is way more faster than scrolling on home page Just type go you will get google.com, type fir you ger firefox.com I am suggesting you to switch to typing auto complete is great in firefox. How ever if you are preferring accessing sites from home screen collections are cool see the link https://support.mozilla.org/bm/kb/collections-firefox?redirectslug=collections-firefox-preview&redirectlocale=en-US
1. I hate typing on the phone. Too clumsy. 2. Yes typing say 2 letters is OK. Typing also requires remembering where I'd like to visit. I prefer the visual cues afforded by speed dial icons. I Ihave about 50 in Opera. 3. A quick visit to the Collections link doesn't give me confidence that it would provide similar ease as speed dial.
