prior server emails disappeared
old imap emails disappeared from Thunderbird when account was switched to a new server that did not have the old emails. Is there any way to get the old ones back? I do not have access to the old server anymore.

Did you create a backup of your messages prior to switching to the new server? If not, then your old messages are gone.
