WILL THIS BE FIXED? FIREFOX USED TO BE THE FASTEST BROWSER. NOW IT'S AS SLOW OR SLOWER THAN IE. IF NOT I'LL HAVE TO USE ANOTHER BROWSER. IT'S REALLY REDICULOUSLY SLOW.

Some of your listed plugins are known to cause performance problems, so from Tools -> Add-ons, "Plugins" section disable:

You can find out how the speed has improved in the beta version of Firefox 4 by creating a new profile using the Profile Manager and selecting that profile from Firefox 4

THANKS, I WILL TRY THAT WHEN THEY RELEASE THE 4 VERSION. I'M SCARED OF BETA ANYTHING EVER SINCE I USED A BETA PROG THAT HOSED MY HARD DRIVE.

I HAVE TRIED THIS SOLUTION IN THE CURRENT RELEASE AND HAVE FOUND THAT MOST OF THE THINGS I DISABLED STAY THAT WAY AND THAT WHEN EVER THAT "PLUGIN-CONTAINER.EXE" PROGRAM ISN'T RUNNING THINGS DO INDEED MOVE ALONG MUCH BETTER.

HOWEVER, WHEN EVER I GO TO A SITE THAT USES FLASH THAT FIREFOX STARTS IT ANY WAY AND IMMEDIATELY I'M BOGGED DOWN AGAIN. I BELIEVE FLASH NEEDS TO BE DONE AWAY WITH.

IT'S LIKE GOING BACK TO A 100MHZ CPU WITH ONLY 4MB OF MEMORY.

I HAVE STARTED USING MY OLD VER OF NETSCAPE. EVERYTHING SHOW AS IT SHOULD AND IT EVEN RUNS LIKE A SCALDED RABBIT WHILE THE FIREFOX ID STILL BOGGED DOWN.

I REST MY CASE. FIREFOX HAS BECOME A BLOATED POS.
