My husband's computer has the newest edition on it. We don't like it and want to go back to the old version. It crashes repeatedly and cuts off the sound. How do we go back to the last version and take out the upgraded 4 until y'all work this out.

As above, my husband upgraded his computer to have the 4 version of Foxpro. It crashes everytime we open it after a few minutes and the sound feature on the computer also goes out each time. This doesn't happen when we open the Explorer on the computer so we think it is the Foxpro. We would rather use Foxpro so how do we go back to the old version? 3.6 I think? We'd rather use that one until you get the kinks worked out of the new version.

Plus we don't like the hidden features of the new version with the toolbar hidden...very inconvenient and the way you have to go over to get to the bookmarks and such again not convenient. We like the old format in general.

To downgrade to Firefox 3.6 first uninstall Firefox 4, but do not select the option to "Remove my Firefox personal data". If you select that option it will delete your bookmarks, passwords and other user data.

You can then install the latest version of Firefox 3.6 available from http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/all-older.html - it will automatically use your current bookmarks, passwords etc.

To avoid possible problems with downgrading, I recommend going to your profile folder and deleting the following files if they exist - extensions.cache, extensions.rdf, extensions.ini, extensions.sqlite and localstore.rdf. Deleting these files will force Firefox to rebuild the list of installed extensions, checking their compatibility, and reset toolbar customizations.
