See Kaspersky for an update of their Firefox add-ons.
1. In my opinion, Kaspersky already make these feature to be enable for Mozilla Firefox version 4. Kaspersky's update only for virus definition, or something relating to security issues. This problem come arise when Firefox version 4 upgrade to version 5, so Mozilla should counter this problem, to make them enable.
We can see in Add-ons manager there is a place to put Kaspersky virtual keyboard, URL advisor, anti-banner. But Mozilla makes them disable. Does it make a sense?
2. For sake customer satisfaction, Mozilla should make a statement first, what add-ons can be disable (incompatible), and Not insist customer to chose version 5, before they are going well along upgrading to version 5.
3. I've not read End User License Agreement of Mozilla when upgrading to version 5. Does anybody see a statement as I describe above?
4. I'm not a computer programmer, but logically they should be like those what I describe.

1. Sorry, that opinion is wrong. Every add-on developer who creates an add-on for installation into Firefox is responsible for keeping it updated as Mozilla release new versions of Firefox. Mozilla has simple rules for determining "compatibility" and the developers who create add-ons have to follow the "rules". Basically, this whole problem comes about with "self hosted" add-ons. If Kaspersky had their add-ons hosted at the official Addons.Mozilla.Org website, chances are those extensions would have been tested and automatically updated for Firefox 5.0 along with the other 4000+ extensions that got the automatic update.
2. There is a warning that tells you exactly what will be disabled with the installation of the new version of Firefox; there is the option to not proceed with the installation and stay with the current version. But I suppose Mozilla might need to make that option or preference a bit clearer, based upon the number of users who miss that option.
3. Sorry, I haven't read the Mozilla EULA in many years.
4. I'm not a programmer either. I am a 61 yo retired automotive service shop owner and service technician, who fixed vacuum tube radio and radar equipment in the US Navy for a few years, and have been using and building PC's since the days of the IBM XT. The only "programming" I have ever done was in college back in the early 1970's for main frame and WANG computers, as part of the electronics curriculum I was taking.
"Logic" from programmers isn't the "logic" users have; to be the same would be illogical.
Thank you The-Edmeister,
Sorry to all, that I make a wrong opinion.
Your 1,2,3,4rd make me more clear, thus Kaspersky should make a corrective action.
The key points are here as what you say:
"If Kaspersky had their add-ons hosted at the official Addons.Mozilla.Org website, chances are those extensions would have been tested and automatically updated for Firefox 5.0 along with the other 4000+ extensions that got the automatic update. "
and
"But I suppose Mozilla might need to make that option or preference a bit clearer, based upon the number of users who miss that option".
Thanks for your clear nice comment for it.

I've solved it by going back to IE.
@rogerjohnmorton
We'll keep the light on for you!
Hi everybody, I've experienced in this problem for approximately 3 weeks by sending and receiving KASPERSKY LAB SUPPORT email back and forth for about 10 times more by sending screen-shoot (it makes me spinning around, bacause I am not capable with computer, and also my computer is 2008, XP,SP3).
Now I can use Firefox version 5.0 with KIS 2012 not just because solely KLS help me. Now the add-ons KIS2012, likes anti banner, virtual keyboard, url advisor, also animation for network activity which became an issues of their incompability, are solved for my computer.
Here are what KLS suggest to me (or you can try make a request for KLS, if you want):
1. They ask you first to running get system info software, and send it to them. They analysis, then suggest one or two step for one email they sent that I should follow. They will say that some files or application not compatible, may cause KIS2012 addons cannot be run. I follow their instruction, but not help anymore.
I don't know whether it will be solve or not later (almost 10 emails back and forth, and I am still hoping this problem can be solved as quick as possible) I m really feel upset, because they think we as computer users as an computer expert. 1 week only answer me 2- 3 emails. I am going mad!.
Here is My solution for these problem. I try it by my self back and forth.
a. Downgrade to firefox version 4.0.1 right now(other version lower than this cannot run well, and sometimes also not available) by using website HIPPO. Downloading, save and run.
b. Firefox will ALWAYS ask you every time to upgrading to version 5.0, after you have installed version 4.0.1. But don't follow it.
You should be still in version 4.0.1. So Your KIS 2012 now will run well with virtual keyboard, url advisor, network activity. safe run for application
c. Even Your KIS 2012 now seems like compatible with firefox 4.0.1, but you must re-instal" l KIS2012. So now you have "new"KIS 2012 and firefox 4.01 (they are really compatible).
d. Firefox still reequest to upgrade to 5.0. But don't follow it.
e. Firefox will strongly (automatically) upgrade itself to 5.0. and will ask you to re-boot. follow this instruction, Now your firefox is 5.0 and KIS2012 is compatible.

But you know I have installed kaspersky anti-virus 2012. Earlier my firefox 7 run successfully but when upgrading to 8 it disabled all the add ons & kis 12 can't start the service
My Computer XP, SP3, with Firefox 8 still be compatible with kaspersky Internet Security 2012. I don't know how to solve with Kaspersky Anti Virus 2012. You can see attachment/image of compatible one. Maybe some one will have good idea to solve your problem.
