I can't seem to clear my history. I tried the instructions on the "Clear Recent History" page, both the "How do I clear my history?" and the "How do I remove a single website from my history?" method, but the links still appear in the history. I tried CCleaner and even uninstalled and reinstalled Firefox, but the links are still in the history. The links are not bookmarked with the yellow star. How do I get rid of these links in the History?

A possible cause is a problem with the file places.sqlite that stores the bookmarks and the history.
