Hello Jelena89, can you open firefox in safe mode, by holding down the shift key while starting Firefox ?

if you can not open firefox in safe mode try to boot the computer in Windows Safe mode with network support (press F8 on the boot screen) and check firefox again.

(If works in Windows Safe mode then you have a problem with other software, like security software or maybe a system driver, that is running on your computer).

it was started when I downloaded Freemake Video Converter. With it I got two other softwares (forgot their names, it's like Norton/McAffe kinda software).

When I was working, those two (not sure which one) kept on telling me that I can turn on/off something to make my computer faster). I dunno what that really means and after three or four times it popped up on my windows i just stupidly clicked YES.

And here I am, the really not savvy tech person, must learn her lesson *sigh* I was shocked when i can't launch my firefox, internet explorer etc on my computer. Before that, an ugly pop up windows told me that my "DLL can not be opened". Dunno what that means either...

Angrily I just uninstall those two new softwares. I thought that will solve the problem. But no, it was still there.

I checked google, Thankfully, now I can launch internet explorer on a safe mode (disabled the add-ons) but my firefox was still not working at all. Somebody wrote in a forum that I must un-install my firefox too, then reinstall it again.

I did. It worked. I was so happy. I thought it was over.

Well, not really. The next day, I still can't launch internet explorer without the safe mode. (open it by clicking "Start" -"all Program" - "Accessories"-"system tools" - "Internet explorer" ) and I can't do anything on my firefox. It won't launch on my computer. Even after I tried to press the "shift" key, it still can't work on my PC

What should I do?
